eMozPrint Online-Hilfe

Einleitung

Bereits seit einiger Zeit besteht das Problem, das die Programme "Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, und Seamonkey" nicht mehr selber drucken können. Statt dessen erstellen die Programme ein PDF-Dokument auf der Arbeitsoberfläche.
eMozPrint löst das Problem, in dem die Arbeitsoberfläche regelmäßig auf neue PDF-Dateien gescannt wird. Diese können dann automatisch ausgedruckt werden.

eMozPrint wurde mit WDSibyl entwickelt.

Voraussetzungen

IBM OS/2 oder eComStation (eCS).
Ghostscript
aktuelle Version: Ghostscript 9.00

Installation

Ghostscript installieren
eMozPrint in ein Verzeichnis ihrer Wahl installieren und starten
Um eMozPrint automatisch zu starten, einfach eine Referenz im Startup-Ordner erstellen
(siehe create shadow auf Seite 2 der Konfiguration)
eMozPrint benötigt keine Änderungen an der CONFIG.SYS oder den INI-Dateien

Bedienung

Das Programm sollte eigentlich selbsterklärend sein.

Bekannte Probleme

When "printing as image", some printers (printer queues) have problems with quality set to "Fine" and/or with stretching to A4 format. Do not use this options if your printer does not print although eMozPrint shows no errors!

Seems that Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey always produce PDF files with letter format and a fixed resolution, no matter what the user specifies within the printing dialog.

(This will maybe be changed for later versions of FF, TB and SM ...?)

geplante Änderungen

fontmanagement: user can specify searchpath
automatically searching for Ghostscript
possibility to abbort printing
update data of "info"-button to reflect the latest Ghostscript version
handling of errors during converting and printing (when using device based printing)
solve possible problems concerning the startup shadow (when the mystery how to handle shadows in eCS is disclosed ...)
button to filter/defilter eMozPrint on eCenter (as altering the OS/2.INI file is neccessary, this function maybe will never be implemented for security reasons)
